chained.tools
toolchains
Five language toolchains in Zig, registries next to the store, a browser that leaves the glass on the laptop, a vault the agent cannot see, Linux PowerToys in one GTK app. rusty, the Rust one, is about 100× cargo on Linux x64 with Btrfs. Fetch never shells out to cargo. That is not a rustc claim.

Agents made the toolchain the critical path. Each language still means a manager, a lockfile, and an index on the other side of the network.
rusty, pyppi, hasky, worgo, and scripty share one store and one auth. Registries sit next to that store. gbrowse keeps the glass on the laptop. agentpass keeps the secret out of the model. linup puts PowerToys-style utilities on Linux in one GTK app.
What you can click
rusty
Dual-mode package manager and toolchain driver. Handwritten rusty-format, or an existing Cargo.lock. Unsupported paths hard-error. Austin wrote it.

Registries, opening
The client is the wedge. The registry is how the install plane catches up.
crates.io is fine. This is a sparse index and crate CDN sitting next to rusty's store, with crates.io as fallback. pyppi gets the same treatment when the graph is ready. Not live. Write Austin for an index URL.

Scripts and npm glue in Zig. Same store as rusty. Early.
Who is building this
The Autist, Austin. College dropout, already on the work.
He left because waiting was the bottleneck. He wrote rusty, and the rest of the suite sits on the same store. chained.tools is that install plane, inside iResolved, LLC.
